加利福尼亚州位于美国西部太平洋沿岸。北接俄勒冈州，东邻内华达州和亚利桑那州，南侧是墨西哥，西濒太平洋。幅员辽阔，沿海多山，地理条件复杂。南部沙漠地区干旱，北部沿海冬季雨雪较大。在相距不到140公里的地方，座落着海拔4418米的惠特尼山和海拔负86米的死谷。加州整体汇集了海滩、高山、沙漠、草原等多种地形地貌。中央谷地位于海岸山脉和内华达山脉中间，南北走向长450英里，占加州总面积1/6，是加州水果、蔬菜、粮食、乳、蛋、牛、鸡的主要产地。全州属地中海气候，夏季干旱，多阳光，冬季多雨。
加州的大部分人口聚集在南部旧金山海湾地区和中央谷地。这里是美国农业最发达的州，是全球第六大经济体。因有多座热门旅游城市，因此交通十分便利，公路、铁路、航空及水运系统发达。沿海地区有多座著名大学，如斯坦福大学、加州理工学院和加州大学伯克利分校等。
州政府位于萨克拉门托，这里是农产品交易中心，航空航天工业发达。海湾城市旧金山是旅游胜地，还是美国西部最大的金融中心和重要的高新技术研发制造基地。电影之都洛杉矶是美国第二大城市，本州最大的城市，好莱坞就设于这里。长滩是加州第六大城市，美国主要的航运中心，也是世界最大的港口之一。加州境内有将近300个国家级公园，优胜美地国家公园深受世界各地游人喜爱。海岸区的音乐节及深受墨西哥文化影响的圣地亚哥老城值得一去，亨廷顿海滩则有地道的冲浪文化。

美国回来两个星期了，终于有空开始写攻略。关于美国西海岸的路线，当地天气，酒店，租车的流程，以及沿途那些不能错过的风景，我会在之后整理一个比较详细的自驾游攻略帖。今天先跟大家分享我这趟旅程的第一站——旧金山的美景。
66号公路始建于1926年，于1938年才宣告完工。它起始于芝加哥，穿越密苏里、德克萨斯州、亚利桑那州等八个州、三个时区，斜贯美国版图一直到加利福尼亚州的洛杉矶，全长2450英里，其跨度、长度、等级与中国109有点类似。
经历了近11小时的飞行，我们终于即将抵达本次旅行的第一站，西雅图。在空中俯瞰有着“翡翠之城”之称的西雅图，虽没有高楼林立，确是雅致整齐的城市。西雅图周边有许多岛屿，围绕在西雅图周边。云雾缭绕，郁郁葱葱自在心中。

Regarding the feelings of the scenic spots, due to the failure of the Bigbex bridge, Highway 1 from San Francisco to Los Angeles did not go to the essence of Bigsurr. After two days of travel, the 17-mile beach and Denmark The town is really nice; Page is a nice town, I like it; Horseshoe Bend is wonderful, Antelope Canyon is not as good as expected, but still good; Grand Canyon lives up to its name.
