12/25 Arrive in Las Vegas and check in hotel
Before we registered with Wynn Las Vegas Resort, the hotel will send you reservation discounts from time to time. From the perspective of North America, Las Vegas hotels are considered to be very cost-effective. You can live in a five-star hotel on the Las Vegas Strip (all good hotels are on the Strip) for over $100. This is also how they attract you to gamble. Wynn can also be booked for more than $100 during the off-season. It’s a little more expensive during Christmas, we are 25-29, including tax and resort fee, about 1800 dollars in total. Personally feel very satisfied. Especially room service. For so many years, hotels in Europe and the United States have small rooms and poor service compared to Asia. We stayed at the Wynn Delux Double Queen, 39th floor. Wynn’s room was not as big as the Venetian I’ve stayed in before , but it was new, clean and comfortable. And the aunt who cleaned the room was really nice. Pack up all our personal belongings and put them on the table in the room, and put towels under them. So did the skin care products I threw in the toilet, and she put them together on a towel. Also put our shoes in a row, and folded my scarf according to the style and put it in the corner of the bed. In the evening, we went to the next-door Plaza Hotel for a Hong Kong-style tea restaurant. When I saw people lining up at the door, I thought it must taste okay. It does taste good. The milk tea is especially delicious. On the day of my departure, I deliberately ordered another cup of takeaway.
12/26 Upper Antelope Canyon + Horseshoe Bend Day Tour
We set off from a meeting point at a hotel in Las Vegas at 5:30 in the morning and drove 5 hours to the Glen Canyon Dam. The dam is nothing special, just a toilet there. On the way there, the tour guide began to introduce the three scenic spots we planned to visit that day, Upper Antelope Canyon, Lake Powell and Horseshoe Bend. He featured the Lake Powell cruise in particular, saying it was well worth it. The one-hour ticket for the cruise is $48. In fact, because it was winter, the water level was very low, and because of the delay in the trip to Antelope Canyon, we arrived at Lake Powell at four o’clock in the afternoon. This is one of the complaints. Tucao point 2 : We took the bus to Antelope Canyon, with 52 tourists in a car, half of which went to the Upper Antelope Canyon and half to the Lower Antelope Canyon . And when we purchased this tour group, we didn’t know about one car and two groups. Facts have proved that one car and two groups can’t turn around in time. We arrived at the Upper Antelope Canyon at about 12 o’clock, followed the Indian tour guide into the valley, and got out of the valley at 1 o’clock to pick up the guests of the Antelope Canyon , and then went to the Antelope Canyon because of the large number of tourists, we waited on the bus for two over an hour. In vain, I missed the best time to go to Horseshoe Bay. Tucao 3: The tour guide sent us to Lake Powell to play first, instead of going to Horseshoe Bay first, knowing that the time was too late.He gets a rebate for the ticket money for the Lake Powell cruise. Horseshoe Bend is a free attraction. Sang Sang led us to Horseshoe Bay at 6pm. Can’t see anything when it’s dark. (The local sun sets at 5:00 pm.) All tour guides for scenic spots are paid in advance by asking us for the price of individual tourists, and the price of a group with a clearly marked price is at least one-third cheaper than the price of individual tourists. Some are even half price. It can be seen that the black heart of the travel agency.
Tucao aside, Antelope Canyon is definitely worth a visit. The Indian tour guide was very good at telling us which angle to take beautiful photos, how to set the camera parameters according to the light, and how to set the mobile phone filter to take good photos. The toilets here are said to have been dirty by tourists, they locked it up, and left a few portable toilets for everyone to use. Instead of going to the toilet here, I chose to go to the toilet at Lake Powell. The toilets at Lake Powell are clean and nice. Better than Horseshoe Bay. The toilets in Horseshoe Bay don’t have waits and no sinks. Also a portable toilet.
On the way back, some tourists quarreled with the tour guide because they were dissatisfied with the tour guide’s arrangement. The tour guide was not apologetic at all, but kept making excuses, and shied away from the arrangement of the travel agency, not his personal control. The driver even said in a threatening tone: If you have any opinions and want to quarrel, then we will stop the car and have a quarrel slowly, or get out of the car to quarrel. At that time, it was already late, and there were barren mountains and fields along the way. Everyone wanted to go back to the city early, so everyone stopped arguing with the tour guide. In the end I was amazed that the tour guide had the face to ask us for a tip of $8 per person – said it was a must.
Conclusion: The scenery of the national parks in the United States is very beautiful, and it is definitely worth visiting. But let’s go with the group. Self- driving is the best option.
Back to the hotel almost 11 o’clock. We ordered room service, room service charged an additional $8 service fee, and free pre-dinner bread was delivered. And it also gives you a mobile round table and set up table for you, which is also worth the 8 dollars. The dishes are a bit salty.
Las Vegas is really a great place. It’s just that we didn’t gamble.
