Would like to use 2 days fromLas VegasSet off, play the Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon and other attractions, then come backLas Vegas. If you are really short on time, you can use 2 and a half to 3 days.

I have studied some routes for your reference。

It will definitely be tense to finish this trip in 2 days, so if you can try to increase the time for 1 day (0.5 days can also be used).

Since it is April:

  1. It is not recommended to go to Zion National Park (the season is still cold, and there is not much time);
  2. It is recommended to go to the Lower Antelope Canyon (there is no need to make an appointment here, it is more convenient) (In April, the light is not very sufficient, and the beam of light in the upper Antelope Canyon scenic spot is relatively weak, so the scenery of the upper and lower Antelope Canyon is not much different).
  3. There are two routes about the dynamics of the route, namely [Clockwise] or [Counterclockwise]. You can go any way. You can choose according to the time allocation and your actual situation. The details are as follows:

[Clockwise]

[D1]Las Vegas- Valley of Fire State Park (optional) – Gran Dam – Page (Horseshoe Bend – Sunset), live – Page.

[D2] Page (Lower Antelope Canyon) – Grand Canyon National Park – South Rim (enter the park at the east gate, you can visit the viewing points along the way) (the essence of the park – red line, return to Tusayan after watching the sunset – stay ).

[D3] Tusayan – Grand Canyon National Park – South Rim (Orange Line – watch the sunrise, play 5 viewpoints in the Orange Line), out of the park – Seligman, Old Route 66, Kingman – Hoover Dam -Las Vegas. Ps: If it is 2.5 days, then go directly to this morningLas VegasThat’s it.

[Counterclockwise]

[D1]Las Vegas- Hoover Dam (optional) – Kingman, Old Route 66, Seligman – Grand Canyon National Park – South Rim (After entering the park, park your car in the parking lot next to the visitor center; first Go to the visitor center and visit the projection screen of the stars – a documentary about the origin of the Grand Canyon, which I personally think is quite shocking) (play the essence of the park – the red line, and return to Tusayan after watching the sunset);

[D2] Tusayan – Grand Canyon Canyon National Park – South Rim (orange line to watch the sunrise, optional) – along Highway 64 in the park all the way to the east, visit 5 viewing points along the way, and exit the park from the east gate – Page (Horseshoe Bay, watch the sunset) .

[D3] Page (Lower Antelope Canyon) – Gran Dam (by the way) – Valley of Fire State Park (optional) -Las Vegas. Ps: If it is 2.5 days, then drive directly to Antelope Canyon todayLas VegasThat’s it.

  1. Regarding the Grand Canyon National Park-South Rim, the introduction of each line is as follows:
  • The red line (the essence of the park, this line is suitable for watching the sunset), and the free Shuttle Bus of the red line is only available every year (March 1— -November 30) operation, even if the Shuttle Bus in the park is out of service in winter, private cars will be opened to enter the park for direct play.
  • The blue line (mostly hotels and shops), the free Shuttle Bus in the park operates all year round, but because it is all hotels and shops, it can be skipped here directly without being included in the play plan.
  • Orange Line (this line is suitable for watching the sunrise), the Shuttle Bus in the park operates all year round, and the best point to watch the sunrise in the canyon is on this line.
  • Along the No. 64 road in the park. This section of the road (there are about 5 viewing points, the first 4 from west to east are similar to the scenery in the red line and orange line, and the last stop has a Desert View Watchtower that is worth seeing), then you can go to the east gate Out of the park! The distribution of scenic spots in the east direction and the screenshot of the official website are as follows:

About the parking lot next to the visitor center. Regarding the 4 parking lots near the Grand Canyon National Park – South Rim (Visitor Center), the subject can see from the map below that each parking lot has a (small animal sign), here is a reminder, be sure to remember Which animal parking lot did you park your car in, because after watching the sunset at night and taking the shuttle bus to get here, it was already dark and there were no street lights, so I didn’t even remember where the parking lot was, so I could find my own car. So exhausting! We were looking for it for a long time! ! !

[Essence of the Park – Red Line]. Red Line – You need to take (blue line) and turn (red line) at the visitor center to arrive.

Each station on the map below has a (direction arrow), and the subject should find that: some stations have arrows on one side and a circle on the other side, and some have arrows on both sides. The arrows represent the driving and parking directions of the shuttle bus, for example: only With an arrow pointing (west), only the shuttle bus traveling in the west direction will stop at this station, and the bus in the opposite direction will not stop at this station! If you want to go in the opposite direction, you must first take a car going west, turn east or take a car at the stop point in both directions. Therefore, according to the stop of the shuttle bus, a reasonable planning of the play route will save a lot of time. Red Line – The screenshot of the official website map is as follows:

Personally suggested play order, after turning (red line) at the visitor center (blue line), the play order is as follows:

  1. Trailview Overlook (one-way – west);
  2. Maricopa Point (one-way – west) ;
  3. Powell Point (two-way – east-west);
  4. Hopi Point (one-way – west);
  5. The Abyss (one-way – west);
  6. Monument Creek Vista (one-way – west);
  7. Pima Point ( Two-way – east and west);
  8. Hermits Rest (terminal, one-way – east);
  9. Mohave Point (two-way – east and west) – watch the sunset, then take the Shuttle Bus back to the parking lot next to the visitor center, pick up the car and drive to the map Hotel in Sayan.

Ps: According to the description on the official website, the best point to watch the sunset is in the red line (Hipi point, Mohave point, Pima point). When I watched the sunset in the Grand Canyon National Park-South Rim-Red Line in 2014, I chose to watch the sunset at (Mohave Point) at that time, because we felt that it was relatively close to the park, and we could directly watch the sunset after watching the sunset. It is more convenient to take the car in the direction of discharge!

Desert Road direction (Grand Canyon South Rim-East) route.

The above answers, I hope to be helpful to the subject, I wish all the best! If you have any questions, you can ask me again~~
