In October 2020, I and I first went to Vancouver to visit our friends that we had not seen for many years. We visited the Capilano Suspension Bridge a famous scenic spot in Vancouver.
Located in North Vancouver, 137 meters long, hanging at 70 meters high, it is the highest pedestrian suspension bridge in the world. More than 100 years ago, built by local indigenous people with hemp rope and thick wooden boards, the bridge is the fast-flowing Caprano River. The suspension bridge swings loudly when the wind passes across the valley, which is also known as the “laughing bridge”.
I have given you three highlights:
Point 1: Natural scenery
The drawbridge spans the Capelano River and a large dense forest. Walking on the drawbridge, you can not only enjoy the beauty of the forest, but also the distant snow mountains and the river valley nearby. Fortunately, you can also see the gorgeous rainbow caused by the water vapor of the river.
Point 2: Adventure experience
Cliff walk Cliff Walk: Build a glass walk between the vertical cliffs, and the bottom of the feet is the abyss, and overlooking the vision also becomes a breathtaking experience.
Tree top exploration Treetop Adventure: in the half waist of the huge tree with iron cable and wood board connected into a road, dozens of meters high above the ground, place in the forest to feel the breath of nature.
Point three: history and culture
Near the drawbridge stands a totem pole representing the Native Indian culture of the Canadian First Nations group. The Indian engravers can also be seen in the carved wooden houses near the store.
